Taking Inventory

This will be a pretty short post, but I wanted to get something onto virtual pen-and-paper.  I was given the incredible opportunity to cover Old Dominion football for MonarchFans.com this season.  The wonderful people in the athletic department have afforded me media access.  Below are some pictures, but in general I haven't had time to write both here and for Monarch Nation.

Last year I got to witness Aaron Corp break the FCS completion-percentage record for a single game against Towson.  This year I got to witness Taylor Heinicke break the Division 1 record for most total offensive yards by a single player.  People who discredit FCS football have blinded themselves from high-quality athletes.

There were some personal changes as well that took place over the summer, as I made a minor career change.  I miss the people where I was previously but I enjoy the actual work I'm doing now.

If there's one thing I miss from traveling every weekend for football, it is the inability to read.  Between a full-time job and covering football over the weekends, I haven't been able to read much.  Here's a picture of the worst hotel experience I've had in years, which came following the Old Dominion win at Richmond.

Without further ado, here are some pictures of ODU football!  I'll be pretty absent here until football season is over, at which point I'll have some news about covering college basketball!
